PM Narendra Modi in Telangana: Why does Telangana CM KCR not come to welcome PM Narendra Modi?

PM Narendra Modi in Telangana: Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said that it is a matter of pride for Telangana that the Prime Minister is launching several projects benefiting the state.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will not be on Saturday to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Begumpet airport in Hyderabad as part of his two-day tour of the four southern states. Instead, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, a minister in the Telangana government, will receive the PM as per protocol. Please tell them that whenever PM Modi reached Telangana, the Chief Minister did not lead him.

On this issue, BJP leaders said that Chief Minister KCR is violating the protocol by not welcoming PM Modi. MP from Secunderabad and Union Minister Kishan Reddy said, “Why should he (KCR) bring politics into this? It is a matter of pride and prestige for Telangana that the Prime Minister is launching many projects benefiting the state and dedicating them to the nation. At the same time, before the visit of PM Modi, the poster war started in Hyderabad. While BJP leaders condemned the putting up of the posters.

A BJP leader said, “Is he not the Prime Minister of India or is Telangana not a part of India?” Let us tell you that questions have been asked regarding the posters put up against PM Modi’s visit to GST. Speaking to NDTV, BJP leader Ramchander Rao said, “KCR is behaving like a child. He and his party Telangana Rashtra Samithi are jealous of the BJP’s popularity in the southern state. When MK Stalin and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, both political opponents of the BJP, can welcome the Prime Minister, why not KCR?” Explain that PM Modi laid the foundation stone of projects worth more than Rs 15,233 crore in Visakhapatnam.

On Friday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin along with Governor RN Ravi received PM Modi in Dindigul. While the DMK has demanded the removal of the governor, terming him unfit for the post. PM Modi’s visit to Telangana comes at a time when the ruling TRS and the BJP are at loggerheads over a number of issues in the last few months. The reason for the fresh controversy is KCR’s allegation that the BJP at the Center is trying to topple his government by conspiring to bribe or threaten his MLAs. Whereas BJP has denied it.
