Nawaz Sharif’s exile is about to end, he will return to Pakistan next month:

Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief and three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif will return to his homeland Pakistan from London next month. Giving this information, a senior party leader said that Nawaz Sharif has been living in London for three and a half years. Nawaz Sharif (72) left for London in November 2019. The Lahore High Court granted him four weeks’ permission to seek treatment abroad. But he never came back to Pakistan after this.

In Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif has been sentenced to jail after being convicted in a corruption case. But without him, his party is under pressure, and PML-N leaders have often been asked about Sharif’s return. Economic Affairs Minister Ayaz Sadiq was asked during a Geo TV talk show on Tuesday night when Sharif would return to Pakistan. He replied that the party was waiting for his return home.

Expected to return in January 2023

“Sharif is expected to return to Pakistan in January 2023,” Sadiq said, adding that he would give party tickets to the candidates in the next general elections. The minister said the next general elections would be held in August 2023. He rejected the demand of the leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party to hold elections in March of next year.

He was sentenced to seven years in prison

Sharif was convicted by the court in 2018 and sentenced to seven years in prison in the Al-Aziza Mills case, while he was sentenced to a total of 11 years in prison in the Avenfield property case and fined 8 million British pounds. However, in 2019, the Lahore High Court suspended his sentence and allowed him to go abroad for treatment.
